Doyoun was a British-bred brown colt foaled in 1985 by Mill Reef out of Dumka (Kashmir). He was bred and raced by HH The Aga Khan and trained by Michael Stoute in Newmarket.
The colt won three races, most importantly the 2,000 Guineas having won the Craven en route. He then finished 3rd in the Derby, the race won by the owner’s other runner Kahyasi.
At stud Doyoun notably bred consecutive Breeders’ Cup Turf winners Daylami and Kalanisi in 1999 and 2000.
