Shoe worn by the racehorse Ta Rib,
mounted on a wooden plaque with easel support and set with an engraved metal plaque, 20 by 15cm.

Ta Rib was an American-bred chestnut filly foaled in 1993 by Mr Prospector out of Madame Secretary (Secretariat). She was owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum and trained at the Gainsborough Stables in Newmarket by Ed Dunlop.
The filly won two races, most notably the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (French 1,000 Guineas).
At Stud Ta Rib produced two black type horses Fajr and Khaizarana.
