The winning jockey’s trophy presented to Pat Eddery for the victory on Cathedral in the 1998 Dubai Airport World Trophy at Newbury, In the form of a gilt-metal & wood trophy plaque, inscribed with the race details, height 22cm. Cathedral was an Irish-bred bay gelding (1994) by Prince Sabo out of Choire Mhor (Dominion). He was owned by Kennett Valley Thoroughbreds and trained at by Brian Meehan at Newlands Stables in Upper Lambourn. This was the final win/race and a career best performance to win the Listed event. Pat Eddery recorded five wins in the race, the other successes being on Fine Edge (1983), Moorestyle Girl (1987), Young Hal (1988) and Imperial Beauty (1999).
