London 2012 Olympic Stadium athletics track Lane No.2 marking, a section of the red vulcanized rubber dual layer athletics track installed by the Italian manufacturer Mondo, removed from its position at the termination of the sprint track beyond the 100m & 110m (hurdles) starts, bearing the 'No.2' lane marking in white in the ''2012Headline'' typeface designed by Gareth Hague for the London 2012 Games, the first time that an Olympic running track was marked with anything other than generic Arabic numerals, the 'No.2' crossed with the curved outer white line marking from the 400m round track's No.9 lane as it intersected the sprint track turning in for the home straight, measurement approx. 120 by 110cm.; sold with a certificate of authenticity issued by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and the Mayor of Newham (2) The Lane No.2 track section boasts the most interesting visual of the nine on offer in this auction with the number crossed by the curve from the 400m track, but no athlete in any men's or women's event medalled from this lane at the London 2012 Games. At the Paralympics, however, Russia's Alexey Labzin won the men's 400m T13 from Lane 2.
