Horse racing memorabilia, comprising: racecards and Timeform racecards for Doncaster and Pontefract in the 1990s bearing autographs of racing personalities, the lot including a 1996 flat season finale Doncaster racecard when Saeed bin Suroor was crowned Champion Trainer for the first time, double-signed by the trainer and Frankie Dettori, other racecard autographs including Henry Cecil, Linda Ramsden, Kevin Darley, Jimmy Fortune, Willie Carson, Willie Ryan, John Reid, Walter Swinburn, Pat Eddery, Geoff Lewis, Fergal Lynch, Oscar Urbina, Saeed bin Suroor, Jim McGrath, Derek Thompson, Lesley Graham, John Francome, Brough Scott, John Oaksey, John McCririck, Peter Savill, Lester Piggott, Claire King, & Jack Berry; Ladbrokes Diaries, with the 1997 edition bearing 63 signatures, mostly from racing, but also other sportsmen and celebrities who had been attending Doncaster races, autographs including Frankie Dettori, John Gosden, Pat Eddery, Walter Swinburn, Henry Cecil, Joe Mercer, Richard Dunwoody, A P McCoy, David Nicholson, Richard Johnson, Aidan O'Brien, Willie Carson, Jenny Pitman, Michael Dickinson, Michael Kinane, Michael Stoute, John Dunlop, Alex Ferguson, Jackie Charlton, Kevin Keegan, Jimmy White, Eric Bristow and many others; the lot also includes 40 day badges from Doncaster and Pontefract 1990s and 2000s; and other miscellaneous items including a small caricature print signed by Jack Berry (a qty.).
The proceeds for this lot are being donated to Wakefield Hospice in memory of the care and support given to the vendor's late daughter.
