The cap velvet is good condition, as is the lining and braid.
The cap represents Carey's 2nd and 3rd International appearance for the Republic, in the match against Czechoslovakia played on 18th May, the teams drew the match 2-2 and in the match against Poland played on 22nd May in Warsaw, Poland defeated Ireland 6-0
