The winning jockey’s trophy presented to Pat Eddery for the victory on Golden Snake in the 2000 Gran Premio Del Jockey Club at San Siro, Milan In the form of an Italian electroplated goblet by Franco Bosi, mounted on a wood-effect base set with plaque with race inscription, height 23cm., good condition Golden Snake was an American-bred bay colt (1996) by Danzig out of Dubian (High Line). He was owned by The National Stud and trained at Arundel by John Dunlop. He recorded victories in four Group 1 race in continental Europe, the other successes being in the Prix Jean Prat, the Preis von Europa and the Prix Ganay (see lot 232). Pat Eddery had previously won this race with the St Leger winner Silver Patriarch in 1998.
