The winning jockey’s trophy presented to Pat Eddery for the victory on Ukraine Girl in the 1981 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (French 1,000 Guineas) at Longchamp, in the form of a French silver plated salver, inscribed with race details, diameter 29cm., minor surface scratches Ukraine Girl was an Irish-bred chestnut filly (1979) by Targowice out of Paddy's Flair (Alcide). She was owned by Meg Mullion and trained in France by Robert Collett. This was Pat Eddery's first victory in the French 1,000 Guineas. He won a further time in 1990 on Houseproud.
