John Landy one of the worlds greatest milers and sub 4 minute challenger to Sir Roger Bannister one time world record holder 2nd man to break the 4 minute barrier. Olympic bronze 1956. Later became Governor of Victoria. Cornelius Warmerdam Last bamboo pole vaulter to hold the World record which stood from 1940 to 1957. He was the first vaulter to clear 15 feet. Sadly the war prevented him from being an Olympian. Bill Nankeville British Olympian 1948 and 1952 European bronze and 4 times national mile champion. Featured in several middle distance world record teams.
