He won Singles Sculls silver medal in 1920 Antwerp games; Singles Sculls gold medal in 1924 Paris games; Eights silver medal in 1928 Amsterdam games; Coxless fours gold medal in 1932 Los Angeles games and Double Sculls gold medal in 1936 Berlin games.
