Rare original Cardiff City AFC Ltd share certificate, dated 28th September 1910, Edward Jones’ share certificate No.11 for two ordinary shares in the club (Nos.189 and 190), costing ten shillings, signed by club Secretary Bartley Wilson Bartley Wilson (1870-1954), an English lithographic artist, originally founded Cardiff as Riverside AFC, becoming Cardiff City in1908. He negotiated the building of Ninian Park and in1910 the club gained entry to the Southern League Second Division, followed in 1920 by election into the English Football League when they were the first Welsh club to do so. Wilson became acting manager in 1933-34 and retired from the club in 1954 shortly before his death.
