Racewear worn by James Weaver for Gulf Racing, Jaguar, Nissan and other teams, including his 1996 Marlboro World Championship Team overalls worn in the Global GT Series, a red Stand 21 design in Nomex with his name and bloodgroup on the waistband, full tobacco branding, BPR Endurance GT and FIA compliance patches, a Gulf Racing blue and white short-sleeve official team shirt by Goodsports with a large embroidered Gulf McLaren F1 GTR motif on the back, team logos on the left breast and sleeves, also GTC Motorsport and Michelin; his green Castrol Racing jacket worn with the 1995 Jaguar team at Le Mans, team logo on the right breast and across the back; a plain grey Nomex racesuit by Sparco, the FIA neck compliance label dated 98 and as worn when discreetly testing the prototype Bentley Le Mans car, also a Team Bentley green polo shirt and unused Bentley Collection shirt; a plain red Nomex racesuit by Sparco with Goodyear and Road & Racing logos and FIA compliance patch, as used in a Bob Salisbury Racing Renault 5 to coach its new driver Rowan Atkinson; a 1986 blue and black Nissan Racing jacket with team logo across the back, the chest with Castrol, Dunlop and Janspeed patches, also two Nissan Racing Team Le Mans t-shirts; a black Exocet Racing jacket with team logo across the back, the front with Rob Austin Racing and Pole Position; a navy and turquoise BMW Finance Racing with Mobil 1 team jacket; a Dow Corning Silicones white silk jacket; plus a James Weaver Silverstone '92 membership card (qty.) One of the highlights of James Weaver's long and varied career in motorsport was winning the 1996 BPR Global GT Championship sharing a Gulf Racing McLaren F1 GTR with Ray Bellm. Together they won the Paul Ricard, Jarama, Suzuka and Nogaro rounds, before finishing 3rd in the final 4-hour race at Zuhai, where their Gulf Racing GTC team was rebranded as Marlboro McLaren Team GTC.
