London 2012 Olympic Stadium athletics track Lane No.6 marking, a section of the red vulcanized rubber dual layer athletics track installed by the Italian manufacturer Mondo, removed from its position at the termination of the sprint track beyond the 100m & 110m (hurdles) starts, bearing the 'No.6' lane marking in white in the ''2012Headline'' typeface designed by Gareth Hague for the London 2012 Games, the first time that an Olympic running track was marked with anything other than generic Arabic numerals, measurement approx. 120 by 100cm.; sold with a certificate of authenticity issued by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and the Mayor of Newham (2) Running from Lane 6, the Jamaican men's 4 x 100m Relay team comprising Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake & Usain Bolt broke the World & Olympic Record when clocking a time of 36.84 secs. to win gold at the London 2012 Olympic Games. In individual events, Lane 6 produced two further gold medals at the Games, Aries Merritt (USA) in the men's 110m Hurdles and Sanya Richards-Ross (USA) in the women's 400m. In the men's 400m Hurdles Michael Tinsley (USA) won his silver medal from Lane 6, whilst the Jamaican women's 4 x 100, Relay team of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Sherone Simpson, Veronica Campbell-Brown & Kerron Stewart took their silver in Lane 6 also. The men's 100m sprinter Justin Gatlin (USA) won his bronze medal from Lane 6.
