London 2012 Olympic Stadium athletics track start line marking used for the 800m events, it is not known which lane start line this was, but through the absence of unique track marking/features on this section lanes 1, 5 & 9 can be eliminated, so it was for either lanes 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 or 8, a section of the red vulcanized rubber dual layer athletics track installed by the Italian manufacturer Mondo, removed from its position as a lane start line for the 800m, bearing '800'' in white in the ''2012Headline'' typeface designed by Gareth Hague for the London 2012 Games, the first time that an Olympic running track was marked with anything other than generic Arabic numerals, the track section with the start line & outer lane marking in white, measurement approx. 60cm. square; sold with a certificate of authenticity issued by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and the Mayor of Newham (2) The gold & bronze medals for the men's 800m Final came from starting lanes 4 (David Rudisha) & 3 (Timothy Kitum).
