London 2012 Olympic Stadium athletics track Lane 2 start line marking used for the 400m & 4 x 100m Relay events, a section of the red vulcanized rubber dual layer athletics track installed by the Italian manufacturer Mondo, removed from its position at the Lane 2 start line for the 400m & 4 x 100m Relay events, bearing '4 x 100' & '400' in white in the ''2012Headline'' typeface designed by Gareth Hague for the London 2012 Games, the first time that an Olympic running track was marked with anything other than generic Arabic numerals, the track section with the start line & outer lane marking in white, and also visible in white, the left-hand commencement of the track's Lane 3 800m start line being just a few centremetres in advance, measurement approx. 70 by 65cm.; sold with a certificate of authenticity issued by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and the Mayor of Newham (2) The following is information on the athletes who competed from Lane 2 in the Olympic Finals: Men's 400m Jonathan Borlee (Belgium) 6th, Women's 400m Novlene Williams-Mills (Jamaica) 5th Men's 400m Hurdles Kerron Clement (USA) 8th Women's 400m Hurdles T'erea Brown (USA) 6th Men's 4 x 100m Relay (Australia) 6th Women's 4 x 100m Relay (Nigeria) 4th The section of track also partly shows the start line for the 800m from track 3 and from which Kenya's Timothy Kitum won bronze. Burundi's Francine Niyonsaba finished 6th from a lane 3 start in the women's equivalent. At the Paralympic Games from this Lane 2 Start Line Russia's Alexey Labzin won a gold medal in the Men's 400m - T13.
