CUP FINAL, 1974, the jersey has been de-framed and the shirt has residue in places from the taping to the mount Known for his uncompromising defensive style, legendary Liverpool manager Bill Shankly once said of him: ''Tommy Smith wasn't born, he was quarried.'' Smith was a stalwart of the Reds team and made 467 Football League Appearances between 1962 and 1978 during which time he was awarded winner's medals for four League Championships, two F.A. Cups, three Charity Shields, a European Cup, two UEFA Cups and a Super Cup. In the 1974 F.A.
