David Jack's Arsenal 1930 F.A. Cup winner's medal, 15ct. gold, inscribed ARSENAL F.C., F.A. CUP WINNERS, 1929/30, D.B.N. JACK, in original fitted case, the lid inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION 1930 marked Arsenal's first F.A. Cup win when they beat Huddersfield Town 2-0. Arsenal's manager Herbert Chapman had previously led Huddersfield to a Cup win and two League titles. The 1930 final is also remembered for the sight of the Graf Zeppelin looming above the syadium. David Jack had played in the first ever F.A. Cup final at Wembley for Bolton Wanderers in 1923 and made history by scoring the first ever goal at the famous stadium. In 1930 he became the first player to be awarded Cup winner's medals for different clubs. He transferred to Arsenal in 1928 and made a total of 181 League appearances scoring 113 goals. The inside forward also won 9 England caps.
