A pair of royally presented racing plates worn by The Prince of Wales's racehorse Persimmon and his full brother Diamond Jubilee when winning classic races in 1896 and 1900, the Persimmon plate relating to the St Leger victory, the Diamond Jubilee plate relating to the 2,000 Guineas, both plates uniformly presented, gilded and within a giltwood border surmounted by Prince of Wales's Feathers, below are hand inscribed plaques, all laid down on red velvet under glass in a wooden frame, the backs fitted with an easel support and also ringed if hanging is preferable, both 33 by 28cm., 13 by 11in.
