A silver bracelet with a chain of plaited hair from the racehorses Invershin & Inkerman, the tag hallmarked P. Bash & Co., Chester, 1949, and engraved INVERSHIN, INKERMAN to one side, and with the initials W.T. to the other; sold together with a printed & illustrated stallion brochure for Invershin (2) Invershin and Inkerman were both bay colts by the sire Invincible and were bred and owned by Mr John Reid Walker and were both high class stayers. Invershin won back-to-back Gold Cups at Ascot in 1928 & 1929, and other good races including successive victories in the Caledonian Hunt and a Derby Cup. Inkerman's two most notable wins were in the 1923 Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket and the 1924 Chester Vase. Both horses later stood at their owner's Ruckley Stud in Shifnal, Staffordshire. The bracelet was a gift from the stud groom to his girlfriend, Winnie Thomas. This bracelet featured on the ITV programme 'Dickinson's Real Deal', first broadcast in 2007.
