John Wisden's Cricketers' Almanacks 1864 to 2009, the volumes for 1864 to 1987 uniformly rebound in maroon cloth with gilt dating to spines, the period of 1864 to 1878 represented by facsimile editions including the 1960 publications by Billing and Sons Ltd with the exception of 1870, 1872, 1873 & 1876 all being original publications but rebound with the wrappers removed, the following volumes were rebound with the front & back wrappers preserved 1888, 1891 to 1893, 1895, 1897 to 1898, 1922 to 1926, 1928 to 1939 (1939 front wrapper damaged), 1941 to 1942, then fully preserved limp linen covers for 1950 to 1969 and 1971 to 1975, the following volumes were rebound with only the front wrapper preserved 1881, 1899, 1901 to 1902, 1905 to 1906, 1909 to 1911 and 1913 to 1921, all remaining volumes rebound with the original wrappers removed, the later unbound volumes comprising publisher's hardbacks for 1988, 1990 to 1991, 1993, 1996 to 1997, and 2000 to 2009 all with dust jackets with the sole exception of 2005, the remainder in limp linen; the lot including two duplicate rebound volumes for 1881 and 1895, both with original wrappers removed (148 vols in total) appendix The Wisden Collection of Sir Denys Roberts KBE, former President of the MCC
