Joe Hulme's Arsenal playing contract for the 1926-27 season, dated 13th April 1926, signed by Herbert Chapman, Joe Hulme and Joe Shaw (witness), agreeing pay of ?8 per week during the playing season, and ?6 per week during the close season Joe Hulme was one of Herbert Chapman's first major signings at Arsenal. He was signed from Blackburn Rovers and established himself as the first choice right-winger spending 12 years at Highbury as part of the highly successful Arsenal team of the late 1920s and 1930s.
