An autograph album containing the signatures of the Great Britain Rugby League touring side to New Zealand & Australia in 1928, compiled by the tour manager Osbourne, the GB signatures in ink on three pages of the album, also containing signed messages from referees & journalists, & some delightful artist drawn illustrations including Sydney Harbour Bridge, a Lion & Kangaroo & Messrs Osbourne & Hutchins endeavouring to find a suitable referee for the Second Test. The 1928 Australian Test series was the first in which the Australian team wore the now famous green & gold colours, and the Great Britain side wore a white shirt with a blue and red 'V'. Great Britain won the series with an 8-0 victory in the Sydney Test 8-0 and a 15-12 win at Brisbane. Australians presented the British team with a silver Ashes Trophy, that the two teams have competed for ever since.
