Pete Brown was a musician, poet, scriptwriter and many things in his lifetime, coming to wider attention as lyric writer for many songs in the catalogue of the legendary Supergroup Cream, alongside Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce, with who he worked on later solo projects as Brown worked with his Battered Ornaments, and was sacked from the band on the eve of them supporting The Rolling Stones at their legendary Hyde Park gig of 1969!
