A fascinating postcard sent to Rick Sanders by Leo Lyons of Ten Years After, with a cover advertising the legendary Fillmore Auditorium venue in San Francisco run by Bill Graham, addressed to Rick at the Beat Instrumental Offices, 36-38 Westbourne Grove, London W2, England, postmarked San Francisco Calif. July 5th 1968.
The communication tells of the reception the Nottingham band were receiving in the States and the experiences playing out there, with the front showing their name in the psychedelic illustration along with those of Albert King, Canned Heat, Loading Zone, Rain and Dan Hicks, being written a little over a year before their career defining performance at the Woodstock festival, immortalised in the film documentary of the event.
