Two letters from Davy Graham to Rick Sanders.
£80 - £100
Two letters from Davy Graham to Rick Sanders, both written in green pen and dated August 8th 1968 and signed by the musician, presented in the original postal envelope addressed to Rick Sanders at Beat Instrumental, postmarked 7 Aug 1968, (2).
Davy Graham, born in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire in 1940, is widely recognised as one of the most influential figures in the British Folk Music boom of the 1960's, popularising the DAGAD form of tuning, and influencing many other guitarists such as Jimmy Page, John Renbourn and Paul Simon with his acoustic fingerstyle playing technique- these communications with Rick Sanders during his time at Beat Instrumental magazine address questions that would appear to have put through the magazine by readers, discussing playing styles etc and are a fascinating record of the man, who passed away in 2008.
Provenance: The Rick Sanders Collection.
