A rare copy of The Fireballs- Bottle of Wine, Atlantic Records White Label promo 1968. matrix numbers C 12753-A, Side 2- C12753-B, label lettered ATLANTIC RECORDING STUDIOS on both sides with track listings, which have clearly been checked and ticked, circled or amended accordingly, presented in a plain cardboard mailer sleeve stamped URGENT OPEN IMMEDIATELY NEW FIRERBALLS RELEASE, the vinyl is clean, bright and VG.
American band The Fireballs were formed in Raton, New Mexico in 1957, and had a career that spanned three decades in total. They topped the US Charts in 1963 with their single “Sugar Shack” , but its success was cut short when the British Invasion landed stateside just after- this album was produced by Norman Petty of The Crickets fame, and is a really interesting White Promo label demo.
