Pelé 1969 Zaluar Torres Rodrigues trophy, a trophy presented to Pelé on November 8, 1969, days before he scored his 1,000th goal, from Zaluar Torres Rodrigues, the Corinthians Santo André FC goalkeeper, who, on September 7, 1956, when Pelé made his senior team debut for Santos FC, conceded Pelé to score his first goal, the trophy is a tribute to Pelé "Maior Jogador de Futebol do Mundo" [The Best Football Player in the World] and a remembrance of that historic day when "na qual tive a honra de ser o primeiro goleiro a ser vencido pela suo extraordindria habilidade" [I had the honor to be the first goalkeeper to be beat by your extraordinary abilities], the metal trophy of a football player medallion set in a copper tone victory cup stands on a wood base, affixed to the base is the metal plaque bearing the above dedication, 22 by 11 by 7.5cm.
