the earliest a hand written letter from Vincent dated 9th September 1946 reporting on the wellbeing and plans for their horses and also advising on betting accordingly in stakes from 10 shillings to £50; also three typescript letters on Ballydoyle House letterhead, two from 1960 the other from 1974, discussing the horses Prince Chamier, Apalachee and others; also two letters from Dermot O'Brien relating to Chamier's win in the 1953 Irish Derby; the lot also including two books signed by Vincent O'Brien and dedicated to Con Vickerman, being Vincent O'Brien's Greatest Horses and John Welcome's The Cheltenham Gold Cup, and a Jacqueline O'Brien-signed & dedicated copy of the Vincent O'Brien biography; also include in this lot is “History of Cheltenham Races and other West Country Meetings” from the British Racecourses (Illustrated) Series edited and produced by Frank Johnston, (a lot).
