Double-print of Newmarket in the time of George I and in 1790,
twin colour engraved plates, the earlier example after John Wootton (circa 1682-1764) and featuring a match on the racecourse between the Duke of Somerset's Grey Windham and the Duke of Bolton's Bay Bolton, the other after E F Burney (figures) and J Bodger (landscape) and a very lively view of Warren Hill, framed & glazed, 33 by 38cm., reasonably good condition; sold together with another Newmarket print, the July Sales at Tattersalls, hand-coloured circa 1890, unframed, (2).

Provenance: Lots 72 to 90. The late Richard “Dickie” Onslow, horse racing journalist, author and historian.
