A pastel drawing by Jay Kirkman (American/British) featuring the scene on the July Course at Newmarket after the victory of Godolphin’s Noble Dynasty in the Criterion Stakes 29th June 2024,
signed, coloured pastels on textured paper, 23 by 30.5cm., mounted, framed & glazed, 44 by 52cm., fine, original condition.

Jay Kirkman was born in Los Angeles in 1958, moving to the UK in 1973. He studied at the West Surrey College of Art and the Camberwell School of Art. His acclaimed equestrian works are included in private collections including the Duke of Roxburghe, Lady Juliet Tadgell and Mr & Mrs Crispin Odey. His work has been exhibited at several prestigious London galleries.
