An oil painting by Carolyn Alexander (British, b.1948) of the broodmare Agujita dam of All Along the 1983 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner, signed, dated 1983 and titled Agujita, oil on board, 28 by 37cm., good condition, gilt frame, overall 35.5 by 45cm.
All Along is considered to be one of the greatest fillies in the second half of the 20th century who won top-class races in Europe and North America. She was owned by Daniel Wildenstein and trained in France firstly by Maurice Zilber and later by Patrick Biancone.
Agujita herself was a high-quality filly and won the G3 Prix de Royaumont.
