A limited edition bronze head & shoulders bust of the jockey Lester Piggott by the Irish sculptor Gary Trimble ARHA (1928-1979), signed with initials G.T., numbered No.5, and marked DAF (Dublin Art Foundry), the jockey modelled in racing silks and helmet & cap, rich patina, 39cm. high., 24cm. width, mounted on a cubic white marble plinth set with a brass plaque bearing Lester Piggott's facsimile signature and inscribed BY GARY TRIMBLE, overall height 54cm.

Eleven of these these Lester Piggott bronzes were cast. Other known examples from the edition are in the collections of the late Lester Piggott and Vincent O'Brien, whilst another is in the John Magnier Collection.
