A silver-plated tray presented to the racehorse trainer Matt Peacock by his employees at the Manor House stables, Middleham, on the occasion of his marriage 9th April 1923, the large tray with ornate border and central plaque inscribed "Presented to MD Peacock on the occasion of his marriage from the employees of the Manor House Middleham, April 9th 1923. There are no visible maker stamps and the the tray displays age related marking and patina.

Matt Peacock was a renowned trainer responsible for 1945 Derby winner  "Dante". The famous Manor House racings stables at Middleham were in family hands for over 100 years, before finally sold after Lennie Peacock's death in 2018.
