The winning jockey’s trophy presented to Pat Eddery for the victory on Commander In Chief in the 1993 Irish Derby at The Curragh,
In the form of a Waterford crystal vase on square base, inscribed with race details, height 27cm., fine original condition.

Commander In Chief was a K Abdullah/Juddmonte British home-bred bay or brown colt (1990) by Dancing Brave out of Slightly Dangerous (Roberto). In 1993 he completed the English and Irish Derby double. This year Auguste Rodin became the 19th racehorse to complete the Derby double.

This was Pat Eddery's fourth and final win in the Irish Derby. His previous winners were Grundy in 1975, El Gran Senor in 1984 and Law Society in 1985.
