Collection of 45 working documents from the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railways in Manchester and other areas, The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway that in 1878 spawned the Football Club “Newton Heath Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway” that in 1902 became known as “Manchester United”, although not related to the “Carriage & Wagon Works” at Newton Heath, many other people who signed for and wrote out these invoices and bills and other paperwork relating to the Companies activities could well have been some of the early supporters of the original Club at Newton Heath & then Manchester United!. The documents are complete, some are frail but they are all intact. Listed is the number of these documents dated 1879-2, 1881-1, 1886-1, 1897-1, 1893-1, 1895-1, 1904-2,1906-1, 1907-1, 1909-1,1910-1, 1913-7, 1914-15, 1915-3, 1916-3, 1918-1, 1919-3.
