Romania v England programme on 24/5/1939, part of Englands scarce tour to Italy 13/5/1939, Yugoslavia 15/5/1939 and Romania played at Stadionul Principle Caboi. The tour was in doubt to last minute due to political situation in Europe, King Carol visited the UK in 1936 and the match was agreed then England won 2-0. And only the touring party were given visas, it was King George III and King Carol on the front page, it has two supplements, a coloured one lightly attached for Indanthren Advertising Colourfast Dyes and the other with Fiscal Stamps for Velo which also has the teams listed as per team sheet. The war was fast approaching and in the end the King was forced to abdicate a year later, vertical folds and yellowing, slight staining to both (3)
