1956 Melbourne Olympic Games extremely rare participation medal designed by J. Sjoesvaerd for the equestrian sports held at Stockholm due to Australian quarantine regulations, the obverse depicting classical horseman above Olympic Rings, the official emblem of the Equestrian games 

There were only 158 participants at the Stockholm events. Over 12,000 medals were made for the main Melbourne Games in 1956.
