A large sepia toned photograph of William "Fatty" Foulkes batting for Derbyshire at Bramall Lane, framed, glazed and mounted, measuring 22.5 x 18 ins., there are age related marks and patina to the wood frame and some fade to the actual picture, with the mount featuring lettering embossed in silver stating H Jasper Redfern, Electric Light Studio Sheffield.    Foulkes is literally one of football's biggest stars of its first golden era, winning the League Championship, two FA Cups and being capped for England amongst other honours whilst at Sheffield United and also being the first Captain of Chelsea, he also found time to turn out for Derbyshire CCC in 1900.
