A rare press pack for The Liverpool Scene concert at St Pancras Town Hall on Saturday May 26th 1969, consisting of a black folding sleeve with pockets, lettered on the front The Liverpool Scene in white with contact details for the band's management on the inner, again in white containing three black and white photographic prints on paper relating to the band and its members, a resume of its members and their backgrounds and a flyer giving details of the setlist for the concert, accompanied by an advanced copy of Son, Son on an RCA Victor pink label with large silver A, C/W Baby, (2) The cover has creases with some tears and edge damage, with all enclosures in very good condition and the vinyl is in a plain paper cover and showing no visible signs of scratches, scuffs or marks. The Liverpool Scene were a poetry band who first featured on a compilation album called The Incredible New Liverpool scene, which was picked up by fellow Liverpudlian and legendary DJ John Peel who featured tracks from it on his heavily influential radio show The Perfumed Garden on Pirate station Radio London which led to him connecting with the band, featuring them on his Radio One Top Gear and Night Ride shows as well as producing their first album.
