A Ginger Baker drumstick, fashioned from wood with GINGER BAKER embossed in black on the stick and caught by the vendor at the end of a concert by Cream at the Ricky Tik Club in Hounslow on 30th September 1966, a legendary venue that hosted some of the biggest and most influential names in the 60's pop and rock scene The item shows signs of being used and the wood has both marks and distress that would suggest that the item has been used at some point by the artist. Cream were formed in 1966 by Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce, who were regarded generally as the very best on their instruments at that time, with Clapton previously being a member of the Yardbirds and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Baker with Bruce formerly being part of the Graham Bond Organization before coming together to form arguably the first Supergroup, and Ginger Baker is rightly regarded as one of the most influential drummers of all time.
