Easterby-trained 1967 Champion Hurdle winning racehorse Saucy Kit, four trophies, comprising: the 1967 Champion Hurdle trophy, in the form of a silver tazza with palm tree stem, hallmarked Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd., London, 1967, fully inscribed with race and winner's details (ridden by Roy Edwards); set on a square ebonised plinth, overall 20cm., gross weight including plinth 660gr.; two identical two-handles trophy cups & covers, also by Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd., London, both date stamped 1965, the first for the Wolverhampton National Hunt Centenary Cup Hurdle, 31st October 1966 (ridden by Roy Edwards), the second for the Kempton National Hunt Centenary Cup Hurdle 27th December 1966 (winning rider Terry Biddlecombe) both 26cm. and 526gr.; the other trophy in the form of a silver-gilt vase & cover on turned wooden base, hallmarked Wakeley & Wheeler, London, 1965, for Saucy Kit's flat race win at Beverley in the George Habbershaw Trophy, 24th August 1966 (ridden by Norman McIntosh), height 40cm., weight (including ivorine finial) 1084gr.; sold with a large coloured photographic portrait of Saucy Kit with Roy Edwards Up, framed & glazed, overall 55 by 62cm.; and a matted 10 by 12in. b&w version, both by Baron Studios, London; and 5 members badges originally issued to Suacy Kit's owner Mr K F Alder, Ascot 1954, Epsom 1955, and a boxed trio for Sandown 1957 (11 items) Provenance: Originally the property of Mr K F Alder, owner of Saucy Kit.
