Two privately-compiled horse racing albums relating to Solna Joel and Harry Thomson Jones, both large cloth-bound oblong albums, Solna Joel's album starting with press clippings, telegrams, cards and pictures relating to her 21st Birthday and party, then continuing with press coverage, original photographs and congratulatory letters relating to Solna Joel's victory in the historic Town Plate at Newmarket aboard Filius in 1948, and concluding with press cuttings of the following season's Town Plate; the Harry Thomson Jones album containing press cuttings and photographs from the start of his training career, including his first runners at Hurst Park in 1951 and his first winner "Coquet Light" at Kempton Park 9th May 1952, coverage continuing into the 1954-55 N.H. Season Solna Joel was the daughter of racehorse owner and breeder Stanhope Henry Joel, who married the Newmarket racehorse trainer Harry Thomson Jones. Their son and daughter Tim Thomson Jones and Di Haine both became racehorse trainers.
