Light blue Puma tracksuit worn by Roger Walters in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games

Status:
Unsold
Estimated Price:

£400 - £600

Light blue Puma tracksuit worn by Roger Walters in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, no size specified, with PUMA Munchen 1972 in yellow on the left arm, with the Olympic rings and yellow, light blue, dark green, light green and orange striping to both the crew neck collar and front of the top and the Puma logo and piping down each leg in yellow. There are some signs of age related wear, marks and fading to the tracksuit and there is some damage to the logo on the tracksuit bottoms. Known as the "Running Wizard", Walters represented his country before becoming a leading coach for Team GB and played a key role in what is regarded as Britain's latest golden era of athletics culminating in the 2008 Olympic Games that yielded 47 medals and 19 golds, our best tally in a century at that point.           Provenance: From Roger Walter's estate with covering letter.
