Tom Murphy (British, b.1949), Bill Shankly bust maquette, bronzed fibreglass, modelled leaning on his hands, 51 x 36 x 34cm., bears minor chips and wear. Made from the mould used to create a life size bust with hands. This sculpture was commissioned by the late David Moores, former LFC Chairman and Owner, for the proposed statue to be made of Bill Shankly in 1997. Later Tom Murphy was asked to make another copy of the bust from Melwood, the old training ground for LFC. NOTE: collection only from our Wellingborough premises.
