Uruguayan Football Association plaque presented to the Football Association at the 1966 World Cup, bearing the Coat of Arms of Uruguay in gilt-metal laid down on a velvet covered bevelled backboard together with a plaque inscribed ESCUDO DE LA REPUBLICA ORIENTAL DEL URUGUAY LA ASOCIACION URUGUAYA DE FOOTABLL A THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, LONDRES - JULIO 1966, also set with a maker's plate inscribed ADHESION DE S.A.B.U. (Sociedad Anonima Broncerias Unidas, Montevideo - Uruguay), marks and staining to inscribed plaque, velvet grubby, the metal coat of arms good, 36 by 23cm. England played Uruguay in the opening match of the 1966 World Cup at Wembley Stadium on 11th July. The game ended as a 0-0 draw.
