Frank Stranahan 1948 & 1950 British Amateur Golf Champion original autographed b&w photograph, 10 by 8in., depicting Stranahan at the top of his swing, with Ben Hogan in the background, beautifully inscribed, dedicated and signed in ink by Stranahan to the clear portion of the image, very good condition Frank Richard Stranahan (August 5, 1922 – June 23, 2013) was an American golfer and all-round sportsman. He was ranked number one in his weight class in powerlifting from 1945 to 1954. He won two major golf championships (as they were counted at the time): the 1948 and 1950 British Amateurs. Stranahan was runner-up in five other majors inc: the British Amateur, the Masters Tournament, The Open and the US Amateur.
