Bolton Wanderers 1925-26 F.A. Cup winners rare original autographed fold-over card size 8 3/4 by 5in. with typed team grid to the open interior, fully autographed in fountain pen ink to their individual team positions, the great Bolton Wanderers 1925-26 F.A Cup winning team were the fourth Wembley winners, autographed by ten of the Bolton eleven, signatures include: Dick Pym, Bob Haworth, Harry Greenhalgh, Henry Nuttall, Jimmy Seddon, Billy Butler, David Jack, John R. Smith, Joseph Smith and Ted Vizard. (Missing the signature of Billy Jennings), very good condition The 1926 FA Cup Final was between Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City on the 24th of April 1926 at Wembley Stadium in London, it was the 55th final, and the fourth at Wembley. Bolton entered the match as favourites and, as expected, went on to win the match 1-0, their single goal being scored by the mercurial David Jack. Richard Henry Pym (2nd February 1893 – 16th September 1988) was an English footballer best known for being the Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper at the first ever FA Cup Final to be played at Wembley Stadium in 1923, which ended in a 2–0 win for Bolton. Pym had joined them from Exeter City two years earlier for a world record five thousand pounds. Pym won further FA Cup winners medals with Bolton in 1926 and 1929 and earned three England caps. He made his England debut on the 28th of February 1925 in a 2–1 win over Wales. The following month he played in a 2–0 victory over Scotland, and on the 1st of March 1926, he got his third and last cap against Wales. Robert Haworth (26th June 1897 – 1962) was an English footballer best known for playing for Bolton Wanderers, for whom he made 322 appearances between 1920 and 1932. He played for the team in the 1923, 1926 and 1929 FA Cup Final victories. Harry Woodgate Greenhalgh (27 June 1900 – 1982) was an English footballer who played 70 matches as a right back with Bolton Wanderers between 1923 and 1928. He was a member of the Bolton Wanderers team which won the 1926 FA Cup Final. Henry Nuttall (9th November 1897 – 30th April 1969) was an English footballer best known for being in the Bolton Wanderers team which won the FA Cup in 1923. Nuttall was signed by Charles Foweraker for Bolton Wanderers in 1921. Jimmy Seddon (20 May 1895 – October 1971) was an English footballer who played most famously in the centre of defence for Bolton Wanderers during the 1920s. For Bolton he played 375 games in all competitions, scoring 5 goals, he also collected 3 FA Cup Winners Medals in 1923, 1926 and 1929, captaining the team in the 1929 final. At the peak of his career Jimmy also picked up 6 caps for England, making his debut on the 10th of May 1923 against France in Paris, with his sixth and final cap coming on the 13th of April 1929 against Scotland. William Jennings (25th February 1893 – 1968) was a Welsh football player best known for playing for Bolton Wanderers, for whom he made 267 appearances between 1912 and 1930. He was part of the 1923 FA Cup winning team, and also played 11 times for Wales between 1914 and 1928, after which he spent two years in charge of Cardiff City. William Butler (17th March 1900 – 11th July 1966) was an English professional footballer who was most famously a winger for Bolton Wanderers in the 1920s. He played a total of 407 matches for Bolton between 1920 and 1933. He played in the 1923 FA Cup Final victory over West Ham United, the famous first Wembley final, and the following year, on the 12th of April 1924, made his England debut (and only international cap) against Scotland. He was back at Wembley again for the 1926 FA Cup Final win over Manchester City, and picked up his third winners medal in 1929, scoring the opening goal in the 2–0 defeat of Portsmouth. John Reid Smith (2nd April 1895 – 1st September 1946) was a Scottish footballer, who played as a centre forward and helped Bolton Wanderers win the FA Cup in 1923 and 1926. He netted Bolton's second goal in the 1923 FA Cup Final against West Ham United. Smith won another winners' medal in 1926 in a 1–0 victory over Manchester City. David Bone Nightingale Jack (3rd April 1898 – 10th September 1958) was an English footballer who played as an inside forward. He scored 267 goals from 521 appearances in the Football League playing for Plymouth Argyle, Bolton Wanderers and Arsenal. He was the first footballer to be transferred for a fee in excess of £10,000, was the first to score at Wembley – in the 1923 FA Cup Final – and was capped nine times for England between 1924 and 1932 including four times as captain – and scored three international goals. Joseph Smith (25th June 1889 – 11th August 1971) was an English professional football player and manager. He is tenth in the list of England's top-flight goal scorers with 243 league goals to his name. He made his name at Bolton Wanderers, scoring 277 league and cup goals between 1908 and 1927, making him the 2nd highest scorer behind Nat Lofthouse. He won the Second Division title with Bolton 1908-09, and played in the FA Cup final victories in 1923 and 1926. The first of Smith's five England caps came on the 15th of February 1913, in a 2–1 defeat to Ireland and his fifth and final cap was against Wales at Highbury on the 15th of March 1920. Edward 'Ted' Vizard (7th June 1889 – 25th December 1973) was a Welsh international footballer who became a manager. He spent almost all his playing career at Bolton Wanderers, in total, he made 512 appearances for the Trotters scoring 70 goals between 1910 and 1931. During his time at Bolton, he appeared in the 1923, 1926 and 1929 FA Cup Finals, all three victoriously. Vizard also won 22 international caps for Wales between 1911 and 1926.
