F.A. Cup winner's medal awarded to George Livingstone of Manchester City in 1904, 9ct gold fully inscribed but with the players name mis-engraved and missing the 'e' on the end of the surname, weight 17gms., sold with two cigarette cards featuring Livingstone, (3) George Livingstone was a Scottish international inside-forward/wing-half who was a member of the Manchester City team when the club won their first major honour, the F.A. Cup in 1904 beating Bolton Wanderers 1-0 through a Billy Meredith goal. Livingstone also played League football north and south of the border for Hearts, Sunderland, Celtic, Liverpool, Rangers, Manchester United and Dumbarton. At Manchester United he was also player-manager of the reserves team. He is the only player to date who has played for both teams in Glasgow and in Manchester derby matches.
