Japan rugby union tourists to the UK 1973 original British Sportsman’s Club menu and seating plan, for the celebration dinner to welcome the 1973 Japanese rugby union touring team to the UK, held at the Savoy Hotel, London, 11th October, 1973, decorative Roy Ullyett cartoon to the front cover with further printed details to the inner pages and back cover. The four page seating plan has been folded and has writing to the back cover which looks like possible speech notes, both items in good condition. The 1973 Japan rugby union tour of England, Wales and France was a series of eleven matches played by the Japan national rugby union team in Wales, England and France in September and October 1973. The Japanese team won only of two of their matches and lost the other nine. Neither Wales nor France awarded full international caps for their games against Japan.
