New Zealand All Blacks to the UK 1953-54 rugby union double autograph album page, overall size 9 1/4 by 3 1/2in., signed in ink by the full New Zealand ‘All Blacks’ squad and management for the rugby union tour to the UK and France 1953-54. Thirty-two (32) original autographs including: Maslin & Millard (managers), Bob Scott (captain), Jack Kelly, Maurice Dixon, Brian Fitzpatrick, Colin Loader, Vincent Bevan, Keith Davis, Bill McCaw, Bill Clark, Bob O’Dea, Desmond Oliver, Ian Clarke, Barry Eastgate, Kevin Skinner, Ronald Hemi, Arthur Woods et al. The two pages neatly tape joined to verso, very good condition; sold with the programme from the tour match with Newport 21st January, 1954 and a ticket for the match (presumably where the album page was signed) The 1953–54 New Zealand rugby union tour of Britain, Ireland, France and North America was a rugby union tour undertaken by the New Zealand national team which toured Europe and North America. The team was captained by Bob Stuart, and between October 1953 and March 1954, the team played 36 games including four test matches, one each against Ireland, England, Wales, and France. They won all but four games, losing only to Cardiff, Wales, France and South West France.
